Thin Bechamel Sauce

This is also called a basic white sauce. It is extremely versatile and used in many different recipes.

You can for example add the Bechamel to sauteed mushrooms for a creamy mushroom sauce.

Or add some grated cheese for a cheese sauce; tastes great with for example steamed Broccoli!

This white sauce recipe is great for Vegetarian Lasagna.

Instead of salt you can add 2 Tbs of soy sauce and make a brown sauce.

  • 2 tbs. Butter
  • 2 tbs. All purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk.
  • Salt, white pepper and nutmeg to taste.

Follow the same cooking instructions as above.
